This event has 2 dates: An information Session and the actual Event. June 13th 6:30pm Orientation and June 23rd Model Search Event.
Amazing Race: Fashion Photo...graphy style.
Some of you may be aware that I work with Men's Fashion Week, I am the Key Photographer responsible for Photographic events leading up to the show. I have a great team working with me, I could not do it alone. We are really excited to put this together for all of our photographers.
Have you ever seen those reality shows where teams are running around trying to collect points for various tasks? Yes, like amazing race. Well in the fashion industry there are Fashion Programs that do a very similar event. I'm calling ours>>> Men's Fashion Week Urban Model Search. The purpose of the event is to provide an exciting opportunity for all levels of photographers to participate in the selection process of models for the Men's Fashion Week Fashion Show. Teams of photographers will be hitting the streets with a script in hand to help break the ice with potential models they meet; inviting them to the Open Casting Call, photographing them, and collecting their contact information. Teams will have 4 hours to photograph as many Model Potentials who meets MFW's strict outline for acceptance. Teams will then head back to head quarters ( Life Studios inc, 698 Seymour street ) where our team will download your images and enter the information into the data base.
Once all information is inputted the judging starts. We will be looking at the number of finds, the quality of finds, and the quality of the photography over all. A prize will be awarded to the top teams.
This is a pretty exciting event, we are looking forward to this one for sure.
You MUST RSVP on the Metro Vancouver Photography Workshops (MVPWorkshops) page to reserve your place.
There is just 2 weeks before the deadline.This event will fill up before then.
